Take the NFAD Challenge
National Fentanyl Awareness Day (NFAD) on April 29 unites leaders and influencers like you in taking action to save lives from fentanyl and fake prescription pills. Nearly half of teens don't know about these deadly risks—your voice can make a real difference.
Share a video or post with your community, explaining the importance of acting to end the fentanyl crisis, and how they can contribute to making a difference.
Below, you'll find four script options you can use as starting points. Use them as-is or make them your own—your authentic voice is what will connect with your audience.
"Hey everyone, there's something really important you need to know about today's drug landscape: Fake prescription pills are everywhere—sold on social media, at parties, and on the street—and they're often made with deadly amounts of fentanyl. You can't tell the difference by looking. Unless a pill comes directly from a pharmacy and has your name on the bottle, it could contain a lethal dose. That's why 'No Random Pills' needs to become as common and accepted as something like 'Look Both Ways.' Check out the link in my bio to learn more about protecting yourself and the people you care about."

"We all know our kids today face risks that we didn't. What's alarming is how many don't realize the dangers of fentanyl and fake prescription pills. I found this short video—seriously, it's only 4 minutes—that's a must-watch with your family. It's straight-to-the-point and gives you stuff to talk about. A few minutes could make a big difference. The link's in my bio. Let's watch it with our families tonight, and tell me about the conversations you have afterward."

"Everyone, the old drug talk isn't cutting it anymore. With fentanyl and fake prescription pills everywhere, it's a whole new ballgame. I watched a super helpful 27-minute video for parents, and it even comes with a guide to kick off the conversation with your kids. I'm all for anything that can help keep them safe. Find the video link in my bio and join me."

“Did you know that being able to spot an overdose and use naloxone (Narcan) could literally save someone’s life? With fentanyl out there, this is super important. I just watched a quick video – it only takes five minutes – that shows exactly what to do. It even tells you where to get Narcan. The link’s in my bio. Let’s be ready to help when it counts.”

"I'm joining the effort to protect our youth from a hidden danger: counterfeit prescription pills made with fentanyl. Young people don't realize that pills bought online or from friends could contain lethal amounts of fentanyl. Whether they're experimenting, self-medicating, or just curious, the risk is the same. This isn't a partisan issue—it's about saving lives through education. I'm supporting National Fentanyl Awareness Day on April 29th and invite you to join me. Visit fentanylawarenessday.org to learn how we can safeguard our communities together."
